One of a kind artistic creations of: paintings on canvases and jewelry made on Cape Cod by Samuel
In March of 2018 Samuel's first exposure to Acrylic Pouring Painting technique – “letting go and expressing oneself creatively, without limits and without over-thinking.”

I truly love the full gourmet experience of eating raw fresh oysters presented in their own natural shell served with a wedge of fresh lemon, cocktail sauce, horseradish and a splash of tabasco sauce. Throughout the summer season I frequent several restaurants: Caroline's, in Eastham who serves Wellfleet Oysters and The Naked Oyster in Hyannis which uses the concept farm-to-table they serve their oysters grown locally in Barnstable Harbor.
The process from start to finish is on average 3-4 weeks.
The steps in the creation process:
1. The oysters are soaked in bleach for one week in a five-gallon bucket.
2. They are scraped and cleaned.
3. The shells are left in the sun to dry then a drill is used to create a hole for the hanger.
4. The shell interior is primed with acrylic chalk paint.
5. The back of the shell is then spray-painted gold, silver, marine blue, red or clear.
6. I use three techniques that are used to creating the design of the shell:
A. Decoupage shells have a napkin that is carefully applied
B. One-of-a-kind shells are done using my acrylic paint pouring technique.
C. If a natural finish is desired the shells are painted with transparent iridescent white acrylic paint
7. The rim of the shell is painted gold or silver.
8. Three coats of glossy sealer are applied
9. Includes: an 8-inch piece of gold or silver wire and five beads are assembled with a “Made with LOVE” Tag.
10. Each ornament is unique, arrives individually packaged in its own gift box.
Thank you!
Wishing you a Happy, Healthy and Fun Holiday Season!
Dream and Believe in the Spirit of this special time of year!

"The Oyster Farm:
It is said that time and tide wait for no man. The Barnstable Harbor oyster farmer lives by this credo. Raising oysters in Barnstable Harbor requires visits to the farm several times per week. Weather permitting. Tide permitting. The oysters are located in the northwest portion of Barnstable Harbor, not far from Sandy Neck. A serpentine approach from Scudders Lane is required in order to avoid grounding the skiff workboat on one of the numerous sandbars encountered en route.
Located in the intertidal area on sandbar, the farm has no water during low tide. This is the time that they can be shaken, sorted, and cleaned. Several hours later, the waters reverse their course and quickly envelop the farm in 12 feet of water. The water carries with it the microscopic phytoplankton that serve as the oysters’ only food; it is this rush of water that provides our oysters a habitat for optimal growth.
During the almost two years it takes to grow an oyster from 2mm seed to 75mm (3 inch) market readies, the oysters are at the mercy of nature. Despite being contained in various mesh bags, plastic cages, and wire mesh grow out trays, there are the birds, crabs, and a multitude of other sea creatures, all of which enjoy eating baby oysters. High winds, storm surges, and other acts of nature can and do destroy equipment and scatter the seed as well. But those that successfully make the journey have a delightfully distinctive sweet saltiness that is sought and savored by oyster afficianados from all four corners of the world!"
